Routing

Event Type Routing

Event type routing is used when you would like to route an invitee to schedule with the best possible member of your team.

Let’s take a look at an example:

In this routing form setup, we’ll determine if the person’s scheduling has previously met with someone in our organization and would like to schedule another meeting, or if this is the first time they are meeting with us.

We’ll start by gathering their contact information and then include a question to determine who to route the invitee to.

Next, we set up routing based on the answer to the question we asked. For example:

  • If the invitee answered “Yes, I have met with Phil Ward,” we route to Phil Ward’s scheduling calendar.
  • If the invitee answered “No, I would like to schedule an initial consultation,” we could route them directly to a round-robin team scheduling calendar or route them to a secondary routing form to gather additional information, such as pre-qualifying questions.

Here’s an example of how it works in the real world:

  1. A website visitor clicks on the “Meet with an Advisor” link.
  2. They are presented with our first routing form where they select “No, I would like to schedule an initial consultation.”
  3. That answer links to a second routing form with additional questions.
  4. The website visitor is then taken to the round-robin team scheduling calendar.

Here’s another example of how you can use routing with an integrated CRM:

  1. Simply ask the website visitor to enter their email address.
  2. Our system searches the CRM for the owner of the record or servicing advisor in this example.
  3. The visitor is then taken to the appropriate person’s scheduling calendar to book a meeting.
